The rangelands of Africa have been subject to substantial changes. changes in the savanna ecology were often assessed from different points view. This study constructs perceptions Boorana pastoralists on historic post-1992 based Gadaa timelines. construction pastoralist can make an immense contribution comprehending rate, trends, indicators, and impacts rangeland degradation rangelands. thus out that better understand describe conditions factors associated with such periods. was data collected 332 using a survey questionnaire qualitative data, results analyzed descriptions responses narrations cases. revealed deteriorating over time showed unprecedented growth mainly attributed vegetation, production, human, environmental, climate change-related factors. also shows progressive resources has jeopardized livestock productivity, human well-being system. suggests recognition promotion indigenous ecological knowledge could sustain community arid semiarid It is, therefore, imperative pastoralists’ for sustainable management resources.
